Shine as lights

The heart behind the design

We were called to shine differently.

Philippians 2:15 describes believers as children of God living “in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Following Jesus does not mean escaping the darkness around us. It means reflecting His light right in the middle of it.

A lantern does not create light for itself. Its purpose is to illuminate what is around it. In the same way, our lives should make Christ visible through the way we speak, love, serve, and live. The darker the surroundings, the more noticeable the light becomes.

Shining for Christ is not about drawing attention to ourselves. It is about living in such a way that people see something different and are pointed back to Jesus, the true source of our light.

This shirt is a reminder that God has placed you exactly where you are for a purpose. In a dark world, shine as lights.
