Follow Jesus

The Increase Jesus Follow Jesus T-shirt features a print on a black Gildan short-sleeve shirt. The front of the shirt displays the Increase Jesus logo in yellow. The heart behind the design

In Matthew 4:19, Jesus calls out to Simon Peter and Andrew, saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” This moment marks the beginning of their discipleship, where they are invited to leave their nets and follow Jesus into a new way of life.

Fast forward to the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry in Matthew 28:19, where He commissions His disciples with the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Here, Jesus extends His invitation beyond the shores of Israel to the ends of the earth.

Jesus’ first words to His disciples were an invitation to follow Him personally. This personal following then becomes a mission to share the Good News with others. The disciples’ journey from being called to follow Jesus to being sent out to make disciples reflects the transformation from personal discipleship to global mission. It’s a beautiful continuity that shows how individual faith can lead to collective action for the sake of spreading hope and love across the world.
